  • December 11-12, Bali, Indonesia
  • In realization of the current challenges of recent elections across Asian region, BAWASLU (Election Supervisory Body of the Republic of Indonesia), in cooperation with Asia Democracy Network (ADN), Association of World Electoral Bodies (AWEB), Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL), and the International IDEA organized an international conference with the theme of “Building collaboration to enhance the electoral justice.”
  • This conference convened around 30 Electoral Management Bodies, International, and National institutions concerning the electoral justice in the region. The organizers aimed to create a platform for a learning interaction to enable everyone to contribute and formulate future actions in improving the effort in response to the contemporary electoral justice in Asia.
  • The objective of the above event was to provide space for the electoral stakeholders to have a better understanding of the recent challenges of the electoral justice enforcement, and to identify potential cooperation in enhancing the electoral justice. This initiative was a follow up of previous BAWASLU-sponsored program, Electoral studies program during the local elections in June 2018, and attended by 55 delegates from different institutions that recommended continuing this effort to build better electoral justice.
