House of old men: 2024 election sees lowest number of young lawmakers
Indonesia l The Jakarta Post
Indonesia has the highest number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Southeast Asia at 83,130 as of mid-July. The spike in the virus caseload has been largely attributed to the premature easing of the country’s large-scale social restrictions that went against the standards set by the World Health Organization. Achmad Yurianto, Health Ministry's disease control and prevention director general, belied the claim, saying the high numbers were a result of aggressive contact tracing and increased testing capacities.
