Sri Lanka stands out among some its neighbors curtailing the Covid-19 pandemic through its high testing capacity. As of April 30, it was conducting 930 tests per 1 million people as against 393 in Bangladesh, 602 in India, and 703 in Pakistan. The country’s milder cases were also partly attributed to an early lockdown.
